宮島沼 / Miyajima-numa
札幌市街地から北東に車で１時間半。美唄市にある周囲12kmの宮島沼はマガンの中継地として知られ、春と秋の渡りの時期には数万羽のマガンが羽を休めます。宮島沼の周囲には田んぼが広がります
Miyajima-numa with a circumference of 12 km located in Bibai City, an hour and a half drive northeast of downtown Sapporo, is famous as a geese stopover site. Tens of thousands of geese rest their wings during the spring and fall migration seasons. Rice paddies spread out around Miyajima swamp.
ウトナイ湖 / Lake Utonai
周囲9km、平均水深0.6mの淡水湖。苫小牧市街地に近く、ハクチョウやガンの中継地として知られる。新千歳空港の離着陸コースの下にあるため、飛行機の窓から湖の鳥が見えることがあります
A freshwater lake with a circumference of 9 km and an average depth of 0.6 m. Located near the Tomakomai urban area, it is known as a stopover site for swans and geese. The lake is under the takeoff and landing course of New Chitose Airport, birds on the lake can sometimes be seen from airplane windows.
大沼国定公園 / Onuma Quasi-National Park
激しい火山活動で生まれた駒ヶ岳(標高1131m)と大沼・小沼などの沼、周辺地域で構成される道南の国定公園。春も秋も見事な景観です
Komagatake (1131 m above sea level), swamps such as Onuma and Konuma and the surrounding area, which was created by intense volcanic activity, make up this national quasi-park in southern Hokkaido. The scenery is stunning in both spring and fall.

いしかり調整池 / Ishikari Adjustment Pond
周囲約1.6kmの長方形の「いしかり調整池」は水田の水の塩分濃度を調整する目的で建設されました。役割を終えた秋には水が抜かれ、そこに集まった多くの野鳥を見ることができます。札幌から車で約３０分という近距離で便利。

The rectangular Ishikari Regulating Pond, with a circumference of approximately 1.6 km, was constructed to adjust the salinity of paddy field water. In autumn, after completed its role, the water is drained and many wild birds can be seen gathered there. Conveniently located within a short distance of Sapporo (about 30 minutes by car)
能取湖 / Lake Notoro
オホーツク海に面した道東の湖。秋に色づくアッケシソウの群生地で知られています
Lake Notoro is in the east of Hokkaido facing the Sea of Okhotsk. The lake Notoro is known for autumn coloring of common glasswort colonies.
